Learning with Kocho-sensei

　Fifth graders enthusiastically shared with our principal what they were learning in their English lesson. The activities ranged from giving directions while navigating the FUNglish mock-up town to guessing prices of products that can be bought on Amazon, all while practicing their learned English vocabulary for each unit. The students enjoyed it and were thrilled to see that our principal was leading by example through learning English with them.

Kuroiwa sho Expo

    The sixth graders just had a presentation for unit 6. In this unit, they learned about where things are from. They studied about continents, countries, ingredients of a sandwich, and daily things, too. The three-person presentation proudly showcased their items and talked about them, where they are from, what the country is popular for, and how they would describe the country. So, where is your shirt from?

    ６年生は英語の授業で「黒岩小万博」を開催しました！グループごとにパビリオンを作り、身近なものの生産国を調べました。また、その国の特色や、その国で体験できることなどを、英語で楽しく発表しました！ 

Hospital

    This month's Kzania event took a creative turn as kids learned about what's inside their stomach. After pretending to have tummy aches, they got a check-up at a mock hospital. A pretend MRI scan revealed the contents of their stomachs, which to their surprise were fruits and vegetables.

    今月の休み時間の英語活動、Kザニアのテーマは、「病院」です！おもしろいMRI検査をして、病院で使う英語表現を学びました！

My Pencil case 

     Teachers from elementary and junior high schools in the city visited to observe a fourth-grade class. The children energetically showed off their original pencil cases they had made themselves.

   富中校区の小中合同研修会が行われました。黒岩小の楽しいFunglishを多くの先生が参観！４年生はタブレットでオリジナルのふでばこを作り、英語で堂々と発表できました！

2nd Semester

    Welcome back, everyone! How was your summer vacation? We are very happy to see you again. Let's have a great time this second semester, too! Fun, fun, funglish!
