Reading Picture Books

    Have you ever heard of Little One-Inch or The Old Man with a Lump? Today, the students from fifth and sixth graders had storytelling in English! It was fun!

　英語の先生達が、日本の昔話「一寸法師」と「こぶとりじいさん」を、英語で楽しく読んでくれました！

Zodiac

　We finished our Valentine's day lesson and we are ready to start with our last unit for this year. The third graders started learning about words to describe animals including shapes and colors. Let's do our best, everyone!

　楽しいバレンタインも終わり、各学年が最後の単元に入りました！３年生は、十二支の物語を英語で勉強しています！

Candy Shop

　Love is in the air as we celebrate Valentine's day. For this month, the students get to be ice cream sellers and play board games, too. Lastly, we are holding a bookmark-making event. Come and visit us!

   今週金曜日はバレンタインデーですね！お昼休みの英語活動では、お菓子屋さんをテーマに、毎週違うお店でお買い物をしてゲームを楽しんでいます！今週はアイスクリーム屋さんです！

Happy Valentine's Day!

　Happy Valentine's Day! The second graders had so much fun making their own chocolate boxes and looking for the other half of their hearts in a game called I-Spy. In the Philippines, we give flowers and chocolates to friends, parents, and teachers. How about in Japan?

　もうすぐバレンタインデーですね！２年生は形や色の英語を復習し、チョコレート屋さんごっこでお買い物をしました。好きなチョコレートをつめた感謝の手紙を、ＡＬＴの先生達と一緒に作りました！

Welcome to Japan!

    Spring time is coming and it will be nice to travel around Japan. Today, the fifth graders recommended things to do, places to visit, and food to try in the country. Many ALTs are new in Gunma and Japan. What can we do?

　５年生に、フィリピンのジョメルさんからビデオレターが届きました！今度、彼が来日するときのために、それぞれが日本のおすすめの場所を調べ、紹介ビデオを作って送りました！

Do you like bananas?

  Happy new year and welcome back to our first graders! This month, we learned about fruits and what other countries do for the New year. We made fruit puppets, avoided scary hungry lions, and stacked cups to make a tower. What do you do for the New Year?

　１年生の授業では、外国のお正月についてＡＬＴの先生が教えてくれました。また、やさいとフルーツの単語を、楽しいゲームをしながら練習しました！

Ｍuseums

　Our fourth graders were our little helpers today as we had the first day of Kzania. They became our museum staff who were eager to share their knowledge about dinosaurs, paintings, and even ninjas! The students are set to have fun solving dinosaur maze activities, painting photobooths, and item guessing.

　今月のお昼休みの英語活動「Ｋザニア」のテーマは、「世界の博物館に行こう！」です。科学博物館、美術館、歴史博物館の３ブースにわかれて、楽しんでいます！

３rd Term

     Happy new year, everyone! 2025 has come and we are welcomed by our energetic school staff, parents, and students. This is the last semester of the year and we can't wait to see how much we have improved since the beginning. Let's continue doing our best!

　新年明けましておめでとうございます！２０２５年、最初の英語の授業が始まりました。最後の学期、１年間の成長が楽しみです。３学期も一緒に楽しく頑張っていきましょう！

Merry Xmas

　　Merry Christmas and happy new year, everyone! We enjoyed the story time with kids at Kzania. Thank you for all your hard work this year. We shared wonderful memories and learned useful English. Have a good winter break and stay warm. 

お昼休みに、クリスマスのカップボーリング大会や、 海外の絵本の読み聞かせが行われました。 特にクリスマスの仕掛け絵本や、以前子供たちが『 Yomokka！（よもっか！）』 で読んだ本の英語バージョンが大人気で、 楽しい時間となりました！

Poster Session

     Our planet has serious problems and we can do something about it. Our six graders did a poster session to show how we can help our environment. It was attended by our school staff who were impressed not only by the students' English skills, but their research abilities, too. Let's help save the planet!

　６年生の英語の授業で「Let’s save the animal」をテーマにしたポスターセッションが行われました。各チームが自作のポスターを使い、「生き物たちの危機」や「私たちにできること」について英語で堂々と発表しました。質問にも自信をもって答える姿がとても印象的でした！
